National Project on
Protein Structural and Functional Analyses
funded by MEXT:
Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, Japan
Japanese national project on
structural genomics is composed of RIKEN Structural Genomics/Proteomics Initiative
and the project where university community takes a leading part. The latter has
been established in the fiscal 2002 year under the name of "National
Project on Protein Structural and Functional Analyses". The aim of this
project is to study both structures and functions of proteins in a selected
target of biological systems.
